Abominable
Fractured words
split by this
icy tongue
send chills
from my lips
to freeze,
but you
cautiously kindle
bitter twigs
beneath me,
thawing every
frozen bone
in my body.
Defrosted thoughts
surface to my
mind in a swarm:
I did not know
I could
feel this warm.
