The Scar
I know how that scar was born
In college
One wild night
With friends and too much drink
A wild gesture
Loud laughter
A hand stuck against the coils of the bed
pulled down with blood.
Today it is a thin white line
A faded memory of a time with friends
you never see.
I see your scars and trace them lightly.
I see only some of your scars.
Know only some of your stories.
You know only some of mine.
