tireless pulse
glass necks clink, mouths of salt and lime
yellow brightness overhead, air warm and close
razor-sharp horizon of blue meets blue
stretch of hidden shore, bodies uncovered
effervescent with hope that these frothing waves
will roll and roll and roll
through fizzy sips and days and nights
past that distant edge
through heady vagueness and crystal vision
into an eternity of aching sweetness
never to mar, never to flatten
for this thing is fueled by the cosmos
the glowing pull of the moon
the electric heartbeat of the stars
the tireless pulse of my will and yours
depths that render them one in the same
soles in the sand and souls in the sky
shared heat lapping with mysterious ease
through the ceaseless rhythm of eons azure
